Bedroom turned into a bathroom

Sometimes we get asked to carry out something that to the outside world seems mad. Take this installation for example. We were asked if it was possible to take the bathroom from downstairs and move it into a bedroom upstairs. This would change the house from a 3 bedroom into a 2 bedroom. Crazy you might think, however when you have lived i a house for so long leaving it is just not an option, its becomes a part of you. This customer had decided that the 3rd bedroom was just not neccessary anymore, the children had long since left home. So why not do what you want with the internal space.

The customers wishes were simple, could they have a traditional style bathroom with, if possible, a seperate shower and free standing bath. The answer of course was yes, it would not be easy but yes we can do it.

This involved installing a completely new soil stack, all new hot and cold pipework and new waste water pipework. Once the new layout was agreed it was time to get cracking. The easiest part of the installation was the strip out. It previously being a bedroom, there was nothin gto remove execpt the radiator. Having the benefit of the existing downstairs shower room still operational made the project easier for the customers. We would not be removing the shower room until this new bathroom was in full working order.

As you will see from the completed photos this worked out in stunning fashion. It obviously would not be a Pattinson Installations project without an illuminated recess in the shower.
